Blake has taken the opportunity to celebrate both the centenary of the publication of Langston Hughes’ first poetry collection The Weary Blues, and 125 years since his Hughes’ birth. Hughes was a poet, social activist, playwright, and columnist, and well known as a leader of the Harlem Renaissance.
